Artists Statement
The land is in my soul and always has been. What interests me as an artist is our relationship to the land now, how we use it and misuse it, and especially what we can learn from preserving it. I love the wild places where one can sit quietly and feel one’s smallness within that which is larger than we are. I’m inspired by observing nature’s details, the close, the simple, the profound, that brings us back to the great cycle of life and its organizing principles unfolding over endless time.
